Forbidden Plum is what happens when Fragrance Du Bois, a house built on ethically sourced oud, turns its Oud Extrait collection toward the darker, sweeter side of the room. Composed by Dalia Izem and released in October 2026, it is one of the newest bottles in niche perfumery right now, and most people have only read about it.
Syrupy dark plum and bergamot open it, sharpened by the warm bite of clove. Then Indian tuberose arrives wrapped in whipped cream and a boozy rum accord, creamy and a little decadent. Then oud, Australian sandalwood and Indonesian patchouli pull everything down into a deep, velvety trail that is still there the next morning. Expect ten hours or more on skin.
A full bottle runs about $595, and a plum, tuberose and oud combination is not something to blind buy. A 5ml gives you a week of evenings to decide.
