Lucius is what happens when Fragrance Du Bois, known for oud heavy compositions, makes its first fragrance aimed squarely at men. Launched in 2024 and named for the power and legacy of ancient Rome, it trades the house's usual darkness for something clean, confident and easy to reach for. This is the original Eau de Parfum, not the later Lucius Maximus.
Bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper open it with a sparkling, slightly spicy citrus burst. Then cedarwood and orange blossom bring a smooth, polished woody heart. Then tonka, vetiver and dry amber leave a warm, clean trail that holds for seven to nine hours.
At $475 a bottle, Lucius is priced like a statement scent but wears like a signature. A 5ml lets you see if it earns a daily spot in the rotation.
