Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21 is the culmination of Guerlain's 100-year obsession with vanilla — a house that has been using it in excess since Jacques Guerlain created Shalimar in 1925. The 21 refers to the number of days the vanilla pods are cold-soaked in alcohol by hand to create the tincture at the heart of this fragrance. It is the purest, most concentrated, most elevated vanilla Guerlain has ever created.
This is not a sweet or sugary vanilla. This is vanilla in its most serious form: thick, spicy-balsamic, creamy, and complex.
