What happens when Louis Vuitton sends its Master Perfumer to China and he comes back with three fragrances that share almost nothing? Journey to China is the latest chapter of Perfumes of the World, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud with his daughter Camille. The trio launched as a China-market exclusive in 2025 before reaching the rest of the world, and the three scents pull in genuinely different directions.
This set puts all three side by side in 2ml sprays, which is the only honest way to pick a favourite. Rain Tea (sold worldwide as Tea Storm) is the fresh one, lemongrass and real green tea over magnolia and Grasse rose. Moon Tale is the loud one, raspberry bursting into peony, jasmine sambac and geranium over powdery musk. Ink Mark is the quiet one, creamy sandalwood and Grasse white incense that smells like parchment rather than smoke.
Full bottles run well past $360 each, which makes trying all three the wrong way to start. Six millilitres answers the question for the price of a fraction of one flacon.
